MERCURY RISING : QUEEN 1974-1975

£11.95
“Mercury Rising : Queen 1974-1975” features Andre Csillag’s rare and unseen photos of the band taken live during the "Queen II" tour in 1974 and, in more relaxed mode, during the writing and rehearsing of what would eventually become the "A Night At The Opera" album at Ridge Farm in 1975.
Aligning with the cinema release of “Bohemian Rhapsody”, the filmic celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, the first edition of the book - limited to 250 copies - is available to pre-order from today and all orders will be mailed out on the day of release, October 20th.

As Andre Csillag writes in his introduction to the book:

“In the summer of 1975, I got a call from Queen’s press officer Tony Brainsby asking me to go to Ridge Farm in rural Surrey to do a freelance photo shoot with the band. He felt they needed wider exposure in pop magazines rather than the established mainstream music press. I’d already been able to capture great shots of the band while they were on tour in 1974 and an opportunity to spend a day out in the English countryside with them seemed like an opportunity not to be missed!”
