JUJU ACROSS AMERICA 1981 : SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES

£11.95

"Juju Across America 1981: Siouxsie & The Banshees” (HA025X) features rare and previously unseen photographs of Siouxsie & The Banshees taken by legendary photographer Ray Stevenson during the band's tour of the USA in 1981.

The first edition of this photozine sold out on pre-order before the official release date and due to the huge demand for this title, 250 copies of a second printing are available now.

As Ray Stevenson writes in an excerpt from his introduction to the photozine:

"I’d photographed the fans known as the Bromley Contingent (an inaccurate label that none of them liked), and then the first Banshees gig (with Sid Vicious and Marco Pirroni) at the 100 Club. My brother Nils might have been the only one in the audience who thought that they were wonderful. So much so that he became their manager.”
“Over four years I snapped their progress through various personnel changes… Dixon, PT Fenton, John McKay, Kenny Morris and the temporary Robert Smith. It seemed like a good idea to do a book on the band but due to a back injury at the time, I shot practically no photos during 1980, so I had no recent material. This was crucially important for a band that stylistically changed so rapidly, not to mention the two new members Budgie and John McGeoch. So on 14th October 1981, I joined up with the band for their US Juju Tour.”
